Why we built Birava.

We kept trying to remember a night out. Not the numbers: the place with the strange lamps, the beer someone insisted on, whose round it was when the terrace filled up. Photos were scattered across three phones and nobody had the name of the bar.

So we built the thing we wanted: a log that takes two taps, groups a night together on its own, and gives the evening a name you can scroll back to.

The tracking apps we looked at all drifted toward the same place: totals, averages, units per day. That framing turns a night with friends into a spreadsheet, and a quiet week into a broken streak. We went the other way. Birava counts variety and active weeks, forgives a rest week, and never ranks anyone on how much they drank.

It's a small project, built in the evenings, and it grows with what people actually use. If something feels off, tell us. That's usually how the next version starts.
